Sebastian Wachsmann-Hogiu received his PhD in Experimental Physics from Humboldt University in Berlin. After research and academic positions at Carnegie Mellon University, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and University of California Davis, he spent one year at Intellectual Ventures Laboratory, Bellevue, WA as Senior Manager and Principal Investigator. Since January 2017 he is Professor of Bioengineering at McGill University, Montreal, and Adjunct Professor at the University of California Davis. His main interests are in technologies for global health and global development problems
